Every brand is the way a product, company, or individual company is perceived by consumers. The feeling that the company, product, or individual evoke is likely the reason people continue to understand them when they are mentioned.
People with iPhones are very big fans of Apple, probably the biggest company in the world.
What is the Apple brand?
It isn’t a computer or a phone or some other cool device we can’t live without. Those are products produced by Apple.
It isn’t slick TV ads, dramatically staged presentations or modern storefronts. Those are all advertisements and marketing. It does have its cool marketing and advertising, but still.
Even Apple’s name and logo don’t encompass what we mean when we talk about the Apple brand.
The Apple ® brand isn’t some fixed “thing” in the classical sense of the word. Apple cannot be fondled, thought of, or even seen.
That's because brands are mostly in the minds of the people who experienced them. They live in the minds of everyone who experiences them: employees, investors, the media, and, perhaps most importantly, customers.
